2017 Roller Games World Championships

Inline Speed Skating keeps evolving year after year. September 2017 saw the birth of the Roller Games World Championships organized by the FIRS (International Federation or Roller Sports) that were celebrated in Nanjing, China. The Roller Games is a new event that comprises all disciplines of roller sports in the world, including inline speed, figure, inline and roller freestyle, inline alpine, inline downhill, inline and roller hockey, roller derby, aggressive inline skating, and skateboarding.

Inline speed skating saw a healthy number of competitors this year. There were 42 countries represented and over 300 athletes from all 5 continents, most of who arrived in China more than 10 days prior to the championship was set to start, showing how important these competitions are in the world of inline speed skating.

All skaters arrived early with the same goal, to know which wheel was going to work at the Nanjing track, as inline speed skaters tend to do. No other discipline in roller sports is so picky about their wheels as inline speed skaters are, as you can win or lose a race based on your wheel choice. Skaters always try the major wheel brands on the track, but after they test MPC Wheels (Black Magic, Track Assault, Junk, Atom Boom, and Bont Red Magic), it is hard to get them to try anything else. Skaters do not want to get off their comfort, roll, grip, and confidence that only the best wheels in the world can provide.

It is incredible to see many skaters that are sponsored by other wheel brands, choosing MPC at the last minute. It takes years of arduous practices, many times per day (speed skaters are known to practice up to three times a day) so that they can win a race in the most important Championships in the world. Using MPC Wheels has now become a necessity, so that they can even have a chance to be in contention for a medal. In this crucial moment of an athlete’s life, they cannot let pride get in the way. It doesn't matter how good you are. If you don't have the right equipment, you wouldn't be able to get to the top step of the podium. This is why MPC Wheels are the number one choice on your way to success in the world of inline speed skating. Results don't lie, and every year, MPC wheels are gaining the trust of inline speed skaters more and more. Of all pack races in the track, if you don't have MPC wheels, your chances of winning are null. For example, in Nanjing 2017, of all 20 pack races, all 20 were won on MPC wheels, something that once again confirms he total dominance of MPC wheels when it comes to the track races.

On the road races, MPC has been chipping away at the competition by finally earning trust of athletes.. Wheels made by MPC are now the number 1 choice of world champions even when it comes to the road. In both, junior men and ladies divisions, over 60% of races were won on MPC wheels. In the senior men and ladies divisions, over 50% of races were won on MPC wheels. When it comes to world records, here were 4 that were broken in Nanjing, 3 of which were broken on MPC wheels: the 10K in senior men and ladies and the 20K in senior men. To be a world champion in the world of Inline speed skating, you have to wear the best wheels. Results don't lie. MPC Wheels is the best option to achieve your dreams.

We know that on certain roads, our wheels get worn faster than some other brands. However, when given the choice between a Ferrari and a Volkswagen in a car race, you would be a fool to choose the Volkswagen even if the tires, gas, and maintenance cost twice as much. When you want to win in a world of racing sports, you always have to choose the fastest. You have to make a choice of whether you want to win or you want to save. You already spent thousands of dollars on the road to the World Championships; do you really want to throw everything away just to save a few dollars?
